Currently, the American Red Cross is providing aid to Kentucky flood victims.
On February 15-16, 2025, Kentucky experienced severe flooding due to a prolonged period of heavy rainfall. The floods resulted in at least 14 fatalities across multiple counties. Over 1,000 water rescues were performed, and more than 40,000 residents experienced power outages.
As many as 175 American Red Cross workers from across the country are helping people in Kentucky after devastating flooding covered almost the entire state two weeks ago. The Red Cross is providing hot meals, safe shelter, relief supplies, emotional support, health services and financial assistance.
